thesis in algebraic model theory
- Doctoral degree in Computer Science in 1980 at University of Dortmund with a thesis on
numerical analysis of Markovian computer system models
- Scientific assistent, project manager, and lecturer in Computer
Science at the University of Dortmund until 1992
- Since 1993 professor of Computer Science at the University of Essen (since year 2003 University of Duisburg-Essen)
